Forward of the assembly, the group revealed a call on Shohei Ohtani.
Based on Jon Morosi of MLB Community, skipper Dave Roberts introduced that Ohtani shall be within the lineup for Sport 3.
Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani Will Be in Sport 3 Lineup vs. Brewers
Los Angeles knew a call needed to be made relating to 32-year-old Ohtani for Sport 3, however he was “adamant” about staying within the lineup, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
“On this massive second, we’re listening to Shohei,” Roberts mentioned, as reported by Ardaya. “And we’re supporting the crap out of him and imagine in him.”
Throughout his 2026 common season, Ohtani slashed .275/.377/.512 with a .889 OPS and 30 homers by 139 video games. He logged 26 doubles, 4 triples and 81 RBIs.
Now, Ohtani’s efficiency hasn’t been as prolific this time round.
As Mike Petriello of MLB.com identified, “It appears eminently clear that Ohtani is just not anyplace close to his full-strength self, and if it later comes out that he’s just too bodily compromised to succeed however is making an attempt to play by it for the sake of the workforce, it could shock completely nobody.”
However, Ohtani is somewhat assured about his skill to convey his disappointing stoop to a screeching halt.
The place Do the Dodgers Presently Stand within the Postseason?
In typical Los Angeles trend, the Dodgers pushed their method into the postseason with what appeared to be a excessive stage of ease.
However now, they’re within the midst of the grueling Nationwide League Championship Sequence, and the Brewers are dominating.
In Sport 1, Milwaukee clinched a good 2-1 victory over Los Angeles, adopted by a whopping 7-4 victory in Sport 2 on Monday, Oct. 12.
Sport 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium.
Los Angeles has one more World Sequence look inside arm’s attain, however they have to get rid of Milwaukee to take action.
In a daring NLCS prediction, Katie Woo of The Athletic acknowledged, “If there’s one workforce within the discipline that may topple the champs, it’s Milwaukee. However the Dodgers are constructed for October. They’ve a vaunted beginning rotation, headlined by top-of-the-line postseason pitchers in MLB historical past, and sufficient depth of their lineup to face up to Shohei Ohtani’s stoop. Their offense is streaky, and Milwaukee’s arms will check it. This shall be a tricky sequence, however I anticipate the reigning champions to prevail.”
The Dodgers are off to a brutal begin on this sequence, but it surely’s not over till it’s over.
They’re a robust postseason workforce, however the Brewers shouldn’t be underestimated.
