Once I confirmed as much as Philly in ‘22 I had no thought what to anticipate. I used to be a west coast child going to an east coast group whose status was throwing snow balls at Santa. And being a Jewish child from San Diego, neither meant an excessive amount of to me.
What I discovered was a metropolis who cares extra about their sports activities groups than another metropolis on the planet. It’s your life and it turned mine too.
These previous 5 years we’ve made unimaginable reminiscences collectively. From playoff runs, stroll offs, music, beer hats, overalls, the shimmy 😉 and most significantly… a shit ton of wins.
What made all of it hit totally different for me was this…
I felt like I match right here.
My entire life I’ve been informed I’m too small. Not large enough. Not this, not that. And it by no means stopped me.
That’s Philly.
Robust. Relentless. A bit of tough across the edges. And pleased with it.
I’ll miss all of it…
The October power on the financial institution from the perfect followers on the planet (holy shit), the boos (solely a little bit), and the boys within the locker room (a ton). I obtained married and introduced a child woman into the world with 26 Uncles to guard her. You guys will all the time be phamily to me. Love y’all.
Thanks to John Middleton for believing in me, the coaches for the belief, the Philly media for all the time holding it actual and to THE FANS for embracing me and pushing me each single day.
We could not have all the time seen eye to eye, however I gave you the whole lot I had. And for what it’s value, boos and all, I liked each one among you loopy phuckers whether or not you favored me or not.
Cheers Philly. That’s Life. 🍻🕺🏻”
