The New York Yankees are going to be a busy crew this offseason.
After being embarrassed within the ALDS by the Tampa Bay Rays, the Yankees must be aggressively trying to improve their roster throughout this offseason.
One of many Yankees’ high wants heading into the offseason is one other star infielder. Now, an fascinating Houston Astros infielder is being related to the Yankees due to it.
New York Yankees Urged to Commerce for Astros Star Infielder Isaac Paredes
In a latest article for Stadium Rant, Peyton Crowder urged the Yankees to swing a commerce for Astros star infielder Isaac Paredes.
“Enter Houston Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes, a reputation that has been floated round Yankee commerce conversations for what looks like years,” Crowder wrote. “A right-handed bat who blends contact and energy, he’s the proper complementary piece to fit into the center of the Yankees’ order. He doesn’t strike out a lot, a talent the Yankees desperately have to spherical out a particularly unstable lineup that encompasses Spencer Jones and Aaron Choose.”
With the Yankees needing one other high-impact hitter, it will make sense in the event that they focused Paredes. He would offer them with one other star infielder to work with. This could be enormous for a New York membership that’s trying to be higher in 2027.
Questions on Paredes’ future with the Astros have been developing for fairly a while. They need to solely carry over to the offseason with how Houston’s season went. Thus, the Yankees could be sensible to kick tires on him in the course of the winter.
Paredes Would Enhance the Yankees’ Offense Properly
When taking a look at Paredes’ latest season, it’s clear that he would enhance the Yankees’ offense. In 155 video games this season for Houston, he posted 25 house runs, 94 RBI, and a .262 batting common. This was after he had 20 house runs, 53 RBI, and a .254 batting common in 102 video games in 2025.
Paredes has additionally hit at the very least 20 house runs in 4 out of his seven MLB seasons. This included in 2023, when he hit a career-high 31 homers with the Tampa Bay Rays. With a resume like this, it will make a ton of sense for New York so as to add him to their roster.
Nonetheless, it will likely be fascinating to see if the Yankees can strike a deal for Paredes. He could be an enchanting participant for them so as to add to their roster. Nevertheless, given how good of a participant he’s, New York gained’t be the one crew .
