The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in Recreation 1 of the NLCS by a 2-1 last rating.
The Brewers will now look to defeat the Dodgers in Recreation 2 on Monday to place themselves in an excellent spot.
But, because the Brewers proceed their collection in opposition to the Dodgers, certainly one of their high stars is all of a sudden creating chatter as an offseason commerce candidate.
Milwaukee Brewers Star William Contreras Named High Offseason Commerce Candidate
In a latest article for Bleacher Report, Joel Reuter named Brewers star William Contreras among the many high commerce candidates for this offseason.
“The Brewers have made a behavior of buying and selling their star gamers as they strategy free company, with Josh Hader, Corbin Burnes, Devin Williams and Freddy Peralta among the many notable latest examples,” Reuter wrote. “That’s sufficient to place Contreras within the commerce chip dialog, particularly if the membership thinks former high prospect Jeferson Quero is a viable in-house alternative.”
With Contreras being one of many Brewers’ high stars, it might be important in the event that they traded him this offseason. Nonetheless, with Milwaukee typically buying and selling their high expertise as they inch nearer to free company, it’s comprehensible that Contreras is beginning to create chatter within the rumor mill.
If the Brewers had been to commerce Contreras, they may get a major return for him. He’s certainly one of baseball’s high catchers, in spite of everything. Nonetheless, for that very same purpose, it might even be extremely dangerous for the Brewers to commerce him this offseason. He has been an enormous purpose for his or her success in latest seasons, and it might not be straightforward for them to discover a alternative who might do every thing he offers.

Contreras had one other wonderful common season for the Brewers in 2026. In 147 video games this season, he recorded 18 house runs, 94 RBI, and a .270 batting common. That is after he had 17 house runs, 76 RBI, and a .260 batting common in 150 video games for them final season.
In 593 video games over 4 seasons with the Brewers, Contreras has posted 75 house runs, 340 RBI, and a .275 batting common. He has additionally been an All-Star two occasions and has been a Silver Slugger twice as a Brewer. Thus, he has been a serious a part of their roster since his arrival, and buying and selling him would include some main threat.
However, will probably be attention-grabbing to see if the Brewers find yourself buying and selling Contreras this offseason. In the event that they do, it might be a franchise-altering transfer for Milwaukee.
